The Sacramento Diocese has a program called Safe Environment that provides training to help volunteers and employees recognize signs of signs of abuse and understand their rights and responsibilities in reporting abuse. The training takes about two hours and involves watching a series of videos and answering a series of questions. The training can be done at home on your computer either before or after you have completed your background check. Please complete the training by following the link below, and send your certificate of completion to fohlsen@stignatiussac.org
For those who need technical assistance with the online training, volunteers will work with you at the parish office. We will schedule evening sessions. Please send an email to fohlsen@stignatiussac.org if you would like to arrange a date and time for assistance.
Thank you so much for volunteering at St. Ignatius. We understand that this added burden can be seen as unnecessary by some people, but the unfortunate reality of our present situation is that we cannot continue as we have in the past. Please join us in making St. Ignatius a model for our community in the protection of children and vulnerable adults.
