Liturgical Ministries

The Eucharistic Liturgy is the source and summit of our parish life and growth. Some of us gather daily, others weekly, and in these times, some "virtually," - all in need of God's word and Sacrament. The liturgy involves all of us, from priest, musician, lectors, extraordinary ministers of Holy Communion, to those in the pews. We pray and we sing in full voice, we listen to and learn from God's Word proclaimed and preached, and we share the Eucharist, the Bread of Life. We offer petitions and gifts of love, and our talents and services to ministries as we strive to witness in our daily lives what we profess - the endless and boundless love of our God who saves us all.

Ministers of Holy Communion

Extraordinary Minsters of Holy Communion assist in the distribution of the Holy Eucharist to the faithful at mass. Those who would like to serve in this ministry must be fully initated Catholics, (recieved the sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation, and Eucharist) and registered members of St. Ignatius Loyola Parish.

Hospitality Ministers

It is the goal of St. Ignatius Loyola Parish to create an environment of gracious hospitality to all who enter our doors. Our Hospitaltiy Ministers are those charged with presenting the welcoming spirit and love of Christ as people arrive at the church. Additionally, they give support to the assembly by answering questions, providing directions, taking up the collection, tidying up the church after mass, and offering assistance wherever needed.

Lector Ministry

The Lector ministry involves those who proclaim the Word of God at daily and Sunday Mass. Hearing the word of God proclaimed out loud is an essential element of our liturgy, and we are blessed to have parishioners who are willing to use their voices as channels of the Holy Spirit.
