This four-hour, once a month introduction to Ignatian spirituality takes place as a component of the four-year formation program offered to candidates for the permanent diaconate program by the Diocese of Sacramento. The spiritual program is led by a team of 5 spiritual directors and focuses on themes from the 4-week structure of the Spiritual Exercises. It is a four-year program running from September-May.
The spiritual directors of the Diaconate Ignatian Team are Mr. Michael Cheney, CIS Director; Ms. Colleen Gregg, Director of Mercy Auburn Retreat Center; Fr. Tom Lucas, S.J., pastor of St. Ignatius parish; Fr. Art Wehr, S.J., Associate Pastor of St. Ignatius; and Deacon Matthew Yim, S.J.
