Why are you applying to take the 19th or 18th Annotation Retreat, the Spiritual Exercises in Everyday Life (SEEL)? What are your hopes that you have following the completion of the 19th or 18th Annotation Retreat?

What are some of the highlights of your spiritual journey? --prayer, image(s) of God, and significant events that have shaped your spirituality in the past? This could be a devotional practice or activity such as praying the rosary or participating in Eucharistic adoration. It could also include holy images that you use to help with your prayer.

What do you know and/or have experienced in regards to Ignatian Spirituality, the Spiritual Exercises and spiritual direction? It’s okay if you haven’t had any experience with Ignatian spirituality or spiritual direction. Please let us know.

If you have family, partner, or other significant responsibilities, are these persons aware and supportive of your interest in the 19th Annotation program? Due to the time commitment that is asked of you (1 hour of quiet prayer a day), support from others is helpful.

Would you consider yourself to be an introvert or an extrovert?

If you have a preference for spiritual direction please let us know. Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate all requests given the limited availability of some of our directors. However, we will do our best to make sure you are paired with someone compatible. Or, you can type in, ‘no preference.’

Covid still remains a concern as does the safety and health of all those involved in this ministry. Some directors offer only in-person direction. Some directors offer direction only via Zoom or FaceTime or another on-line service. Please let us know if you have a preference for in person direction, on-line direction, or you don’t care.
